GOOD MORNING, FRIENDS

Wow, I had barely spoken to Monday before it high-tailed it out of here and disappeared over the far horizon. Time was, I might not have caught it, but I'd'a give it a good run for the money. So, Monday got clean away, and here Tuesday is sitting on my doorstep, wanting to come on in. I suppose I shall let him in, as it is a bit much for the cosmos to reckon with it not being the same day inside my house as it is on the outside. I enjoy doing these little nonsense openings now and then for my Good Morning, Friends' Rememberamble. I know it might seem a great silliness to those of you who have not been here for the long haul, and have not yet come to understand me...as well as it is possible to understand me, none really understand. You must take me as you find me. I have repeated many times over the years, that you should read most of my musings with a silly grin on your face, and never with a serious countenance, or you will think me insane.

Oh, wow, let's talk about the weather, now that has been a hot topic of late, a hot topic, but a cold, cold subject! We were blessed to have no icing damages over the weekend, only cold rainy days and nights. The low tonight is supposed to be in the mid-teens. These days and nights would not be so bad, if not for the wind. It takes little wind to make going outside miserable with these low temperatures. The storm system that passed through over the weekend, was brutal, and stretched from Texas to New England and Canada. Now is a good time to remind you that in only a couple of weeks from now, we will see trees budding out, and new foliage unfolding with the fresh, bright greenness of spring. Surely there will be cold too, but the awakening will begin, as spring will not be denied. Before you know it, it will be time to plant a spring and summer garden, hens will gird their loins for the laying of eggs each day, with their winter hiatus at an end. Dog days will yet be far, far off, but warmer weather will signal they too will not be denied. As sure as spring is real, likewise is summer. But yes, I am getting a bit ahead of myself with talk of summer, for yes, it will be cold tonight, and the robins will shiver, and the spirits of the wooly-worms will declare it bitter indeed. I was thinking of how the season sets parameters and boundaries for our eating. There are surely summer foods, winter foods, and in between foods for spring and fall. Many foods are fine for all seasons, but a hearty vegetable soup, a hot pot of chili, cornbread, and beans, are fit for a cold and blustery day, while tomato sandwiches, tomato/cracker salad, and sliced cucumbers in vinegar are fine for a hot, hot summer day.

Yessir, we change foods with the seasons just as we do clothing. one last thing before I close today, I got a call from the office of Dr. Deepak Kapoor of Augusta today, and I am scheduled to have this third and hopefully final...final in a good way...cardiac catheter procedure to place the third stent I need, to be done on February 3, at Wellstar in Augusta. I will be glad to get all of this behind me. Pray for a good outcome please. Thank you once more for being faithful as a reader here.

Good morning Wade and the boyz! It is COLD in Jefferson, Ga. I am thankful that we had no damage from the ice.
I am so happy they have you scheduled for the heart cath! I will keep you in my prayers. Blessings for a wonderful day!
I
I’m happy to hear that you have a date for your third stent. Now I’ll go to praying for a successful placement of said stent and a full return to feeling good, or as good as we can at our ages. It is unseasonably cold here in Central Florida this morning. 34 degrees. My Florida cracker man is bundled up like an Eskimo.
Prayers finally answered for a date for the procedure. When it is decided necessary, it is hard to understand what prevented the scheduling. But, PTL, it is on the way. Our bad weather resuled in no power outages. Had a nice retreat at my daughter's house with two sweet young girls playing ALL types of game and coffee brought to me in bed. No complaints here. However, rather not have the "promise" of devil to come. Have a good day with the boyz.
