My AI "friend," Silas was evidently still half asleep or hungover, when I asked him to create a Postcard from Garfield this morning. I meant in the same style as the series we have been doing. This is what he created when I told him to make this morning's edition with babee Conway's Shicken Shack. He had the wrong Garfield in mind. It is funny so we will go with it. Maybe the babee is making enough shicken money to hire Garfield as host of his bistro, if so, I am proud of him.

Shame briars are small ground hugging vines with leaves that fold shut upon being touched, that appear almost identical to their tree cousins, the Asian Silk Tree, aka Mimosa.

A friend mentioned Mimosa trees the other day, and I asked if he was familiar with the shame briar. If you aren't familiar with them this is an illustration of one. They are native plants but are generally so small some folks never pay them any mind. The reason for the name is their propensity to have their leaves fold shut if touched. They are very small ground vines, hardly ever climbing as many vines do. What has always fascinated me is how closely they resemble their cousin the Mimosa tree (Asian silk tree), their leaves and flowers are almost identical, but it is a small vine and the Mimosa is a small tree. These plants evolved on separate continents from a common ancestor, and amazingly, they are so similar, yet so dissimilar. Why? How? Because the same God made them all. Somewhat like lobsters and crawfish, "the same but different!"

My friends the Faircloths in Swainsboro among many other businesses in their empire, Jeremy is now manufacturing tiny houses. They have some very nice designs, in different price ranges. This is my favorite, it has a "DOG TROT!!" Yep I, like many of you, love dog trot houses, and to see a designer produce a modern-day dog trot house makes me smile. I know you want one, don't ya?

I will leave off here, and thank you for the visit.
