GOOD MORNING, FRIENDS

Since it is a Monday morning, let us use it to start a new week! Man, I am too smart for words! You would think that this old world is such an old world indeed, that someone would have already hit upon such a great idea! Okay, you know I am playing with ya, and let me say that I am very happy to be here with you. The weekend was good, if you saw a couple of videos I posted from Saturday you know that Steven came to help me in the morning on Saturday. My doctor says for me to not lift anything over ten pounds for the next six weeks. They had to go in through my femoral artery several times during my three heart catheter/stent procedures, that I need to be mindful of it. So, I have to have help, and Steven is more than willing to help, plus, the boyz love him. There were new plastic miniblinds on the windows when I moved here, so I had bought better blinds almost a year ago, but the boxes were still in the foyer, so I finally got them up Saturday...Steven did it...and was glad of that. I sleep on my couch and the old blinds let almost all of the sunlight in, but these are well made of composite material, and the louvers are two inches wide. They also block much more light, and that is a big advantage to sleeping and napping in the daytime. Josh and Tiffany had her terrific cabbage rolls for supper last night and Josh brought me two plates of them. I ate them for supper and will eat the others later this afternoon.

Healthy and delicious is a great combination. Having friends who will bring it over to share with you is even greater! By the way, if anyone has any news about Chad Wombles and how his long-term recovery is doing, let us know. I am sure he has had and will have a lot of physical therapy. His is an incredible story, as well as his friend Officer Jay Hood who ended the attack on Chad and saved his life. It was a very traumatic event for Officer Hood also, and those issues get lost sometimes as the bigger story plays out. There have been a lot of heroes to emerge from that entire event and its aftermath. It reminds me of something I learned in life long ago, that when bad things happen, good things often come out of it. Now, do not misunderstand me or misconstrue my words, it is never good enough to even take away from the bad at all, but, good things emerge from tragedy. Godly people see to it, and their efforts are like God's word, they do not return void. Another note, our great friend Turtleman Chris Adams and his dear bride Anna were joined in matrimony this weekend. I was not able to attend, but our hearts are filled with joy for them. Chris and Anna share a love of our faded tapestry that forms our cultural traditions and our dimming history. I know that they will complement each other in ways they do not even foresee right now, that will allow them to accomplish so much more. The whole is greater than the sum of its parts, as they say. Let's pray they never tire of being a helpmate one to the other as they explore life together.

I see so many good things happening, and I pray that goodness visits you and bestows itself upon you.
