A REMEMBERAMBLE, Tuesday, April 14, 26

Hello my friends, thank you for checking in on us, it is always great to see each of you here. I am getting excited about our upcoming GF&FL Fish Fry, and I sure hope you will join us there, if so I think you will be glad you did. Lee Webster and Joe Jeselnik are working to make sure it is a great event.

Once more, let me give you the details. It will be held at Joe Jeselnik's venue 117 Dalton Drive, near Waynesboro, Burke County. It will be held from 11-2 Saturday, April 25th. You can bring a desert if you want to, everything else is already taken care of.

I believe this is going to be a really fine and fun occasion. You may know that I saw my dentist yesterday, and he had to pull my tooth, as it was too damaged by the cavity, and there was not enough there to work with. Dr. Smith had it out so quickly, I did not know he had already pulled it.

I must wait two months before he can work on replacing it. I made cornmeal mush for supper, and it was very good, and did not have to chew it. I was thinking about Garfield, here where I live, and how much I love living here. It is a tiny tiny town with a big heart and soul.

It's the people that make it a nice place...and it is nice living in a town where roosters yet crow, and church bells still ring. Ooh, ooh, I forgot to tell you about something I saw yesterday that was a bit unnerving, and bordered on the supernatural. I was driving yesterday on GA RT 23, between Garfield and Twin City at about sixty miles per hour.

I was going through a section that is wooded on both sides of the road. There are no houses on that stretch of highway, and there was no one standing in or near the road. There was no place for anyone to be standing that I could not see them. I looked up at my rearview mirror, and there was a man standing in the middle of my lane behind me.

Right where only seconds before I had driven. How could that be? There is no man alive that could have run out of those woods so fast, and into the road, he was not there in the instant before, so again, where did he come from? An odd detail is that when he appeared he was standing with his back to me, not seeming to have even seen my truck at all.

Also, the man wore a fedora, not something seen these days. I have no idea that can explain that occurrence...and I am sure some of you will try to, but there is no explanation for it. Of course, it doesn't surprise me, as I have had many strange things happen to me in my life, and that will likely not be the last.
