GOOD MORNING, FRIENDS

A Rememberamble for Saturday, September 13, 2025.

This was one day and date that I did not need to look for, on the calendar. I have had my mind on this date for a while. If you don't already know, I am not going to tell you. Okay, you talked me into it. It is the day for our Georgia Folk and Farm Life Facebook group, and Georgia Folk and Farm Life website, Gathering, as well as our Story Revival event. We will surely eat well today! I'm gonna "take me on a bait of eatin' tomorrow!" Of course, the food is not the best thing about the day...well, I can't lie...it is the best thing about the day, but meeting and fellowshipping with y'all between bites is okay too, huhuh. The NBIC kitchen crew has the dozen or so Boston Butts to cook, as well as the chicken to fry.

They will be up early preparing the pulled pork, fried chicken, and a big bowl of potato salad, making tea, and getting ready to feed us al and make us welcome. Those bringing sides, desserts, and eating supplies, are asked come a bit before one o'clock, so they can get the food set out and ready. If you don't get here that early it is no problem, just get here when you get here. There will be men from New Beginnings to help you park, and carry your food or anything you need help with. We will be feeding the guys there also. Some of course will be gone home on pass, but not all, and we will be feeding them as well. Lil Merle will be there, and will be overjoyed to see each and everyone of you.

Babee Conway is staying home, he is just scared of crowds and I promised to never put him through the trauma of being in front of so many people again, and since he peed in the sanctuary last time, he will be staying home. From the folks who have sent regrets for being unable to attend, it looks as if we might have a slim crowd, but if so, it will be alright. There will be a donation bucket to benefit our hosts, New Beginnings in Christ, as always too. The program is a residential one and is free to the men, so it takes hundreds of thousands of dollars annually to house, accommodate, feed, transport, and care for almost one hundred men.

It is a four month program and if any man keeps his nose clean, so to speak, and feels he needs to stay longer, they can live in graduate housing for as long as the want to. They do have to pay a weekly amount if they are working at an outside job, if not they do have duties there at the ministry, as there is always work to be done. I will cut this a bit short for this morning, as we have much work to do. Thank you for being my friend, and thank you for caring enough to stop and read what I have to say here each day. For those coming today, drive carefully, because you are hauling food for me, and it must arrive safely!!
