A REMEMBERAMBLE, January 19, 2026

I would wish you a very happy Friday, but as today is Monday, we will go with that. It was a very good weekend, except for Saturday and Sunday! Huhuhuhuh! Saturday I decided I was able to load my two big roll-around trash carts onto my truck and take them to the dumpsters near Twi City. I am not supposed to lift anything over ten pounds, but I got them loaded in the bed of my pickup. These are not the biggest ones like the big trash companies give customers and are left by the road or street to be picked up. I have one of those I bought from Lowe's, but I had to buy it and take it off myself. These aren't quite as big as those, but they are heavy. I had to go to TC (Twin City) so I stopped at the county's dumpster site and backed up to a dumpster. I then had to climb in the back into the bed to stand the trash carts up, and remove the black duct tape holding the lids closed for transport. I did manage to stand them up, but I knew I was not going to be able to empty them into the dumpster. There was a man across on the other side, unloading his trash, and as bad as I hated to ask, I was compelled to do so. I asked if he could help me, and he came over, climbed into the pickup bed beside me, and dumped them both. I thanked him profusely, but like a real dumb butt, I waited until he drove away in his pickup, before trying to get out of the truck, onto the ground. Yes, I should have asked him to help me get out, but my pride said "heck no you ain't asking for help getting out of here." I "clumb"...(a fine old Georgia term)...out and stood on the rear bumper, ready to take that step down to the ground. My plan was to hold one hand on the dumpster and the other on the bed of my truck, and gently take that long step to good ole terra firma. I could not hold my weight and slipped, comin down very hard on the bottom of my right foot. I could feel the bones in my knee and hip as they struck hard against each other. I knew instantly that I was in a mess, and hobbled to get into pmy pickup. Yes, it hurt, a lot. But today I am feeling better, and the knee and hip are less painful and no bones were broken. So, that was Saturday, then yesterday, Josh and Tiffany came to clean my kitchen, and get a couple of things I needed from the store. She did a great job of getting things squared away nicely. I will forever be in their debt. The bummer part of the day was that it snowed. I love snow, but I was napping, and no one called me to tell me it was snowing. I was heartbroken, I love snow! I still love y'all, but one of you could have called me! Thus ended my sad Saturday and sadder Sunday. We love y'all, we thank you for joining us here, and challenge you to make a difference today somehow, with someone. The babee and Li Merle send their love!

Two reasons I couldn’t call you. 1.it wasn’t snowing here so didn’t know it was snowing there. And didn’t know how to call you if I knew. Hope your foot is ok. Have a good day.
